Autobiography Task

• Minimum of 1 page in length - no more than 3 pages
• Must include at least 1 major event that has happened in your life so far and how it changed/influenced you as a person
• Must include at least 1 funny/embarrassing moment

Assessing for...

• Spelling, grammar, punctuation etc.
• General writing structure - paragraph and sentence structure etc.
• Your proof-reading and drafting skills - eg. How many of your mistakes are you able to identify for yourself through proof reading vs. how many the teacher identifies for you

Once you have finished your first draft, take it home and read it out loud to someone - could be mum, dad, brother, sister, dog, cat, mirror or your pet rock.  It doesn't matter, the important thing is that you read it out loud to see if it makes sense.  Sometimes you need to hear your mistakes before you realise they are there!! :)
